For my pinata project I made a The Sun & The Moon. I chose this design because Its always been a symbol about me and my godmother. The sun represents me and the moon is my godmother. It all started when my godmother took me to are traditional cermatics painting spot. We go every couples months. We both found a piece that we wanted to paint and it was The Sun & The Moon. It was a 2 piece together. Ever since it represented us.

Bird's Eye View

I chose to do the the Bird Eyes view;one point perspective and focused on creating a single vanishing point to guide the viewers eye. Doing perspective is really fun for me, having straight lines, clean structures, and focusing on details. I find it calming but only if i have time and space to do it because its a process of getting it.

Clay Sculpture

I call this Artwork ''Alien Bloom'', captures the floral design nature through the clay. The Sculpture captures vibrant, layered flower, blending deep purples and blues that transition into a bright, Aquatic teal and green at the petal tips. Structuring of a blooming flower.
My goal as an artist is finding the nature in this world and turning into my art work. I always been found of flowers or plants and that what inspired me to clay a flower. The difficulty of doing this peice was sculping the clay because i dont specialize doing clay. So it really brought me out to leran more of it.(It looks like a Avatar plant, giving of the ecosystem of the world)

Acrylic Landscape Painting
This painting is an calling to breathe, to find calm in the chaos, and to realize the power to paint a piece of a nature paradise.
I have experience of painting but nothing like how Bob Ross does it. Teaching me new painting patterns.

This portrait highlights the feminine strength and individuality. Taking pride in the challenges of social expectations and traditional beauty standards.
The picture I chose is a woman portraying Black culture by using hair as a symbol of heritage. Theme of cultural pride, identity, and empowerment.

Portraiture
This was my first time doing a portrait. I struggle with capturing accurate proportions of the face. Learning how to sketch noses, mouths, and eyes.
The easiest was getting the expressive detail. The strong facial features
About the felt project was to replicate the kid drawing. The creation was a monster labubu with monster like features, fangs and pointy feat. With the process I learn how to sew different sewing patterns and the difficulties like getting into the sharp features like the toes and mouth.
My goal really was to get better at sewing, learning new techniques. Especially that I sew a lot of my clothes and with the new types of sewing patterns will be so helpful.
Blanket stitch was the one I used the most on the felt plushie, more secure.

Print Making
Practice
For my print pallet I chose to carve Japanese lanterns relate to the theme of love because their soft, glowing light gives of a warmth, comfort just like love. Which brings people together even in the dark moments!!!
This was my first carving a print and t was difficult trying to make sure the pattern will show.
My big idea behind my artwork is using floral shapes to show depth and how flowers can bring emotion, especially by making the design upside down.

Print Making
My goal was to explore more and connect with the type of artist I want to be, as well as build my personal style. Choosing floral designs feels more natural to me. Overall, carving the design went really smoothly, and seeing my creativity design show.
